With a well earned point at home to Basingstoke Town Monday evening, which following Tuesday’s results turned out to be a good point, Wood travel to FA Trophy Semi-Finalists Havant & Waterlooville.

Havant who sit one place above us in the league, have 5 games in hand on most sides in the league. This owing to their tremendous run in the FA Trophy. A two-legged semi final clash against fellow Skrill South side Gosport Borough awaits. Having only recently just beat Gosport, over two legs Havant will be confident they can progress and reach Wembley.

In recent season’s Wood have faired well at West Leigh Park. In our first season in the Conference South we were defeated 2-1, however the past 2 seasons have seen a 4-2 victory and a last minute Rob Hastings goal to earn Wood a 1-1 Draw.

The Wood have had better luck on the road this season than at Meadow Park and have secured 7 points out of the last 9 available so will go to Havant full of confidence. Wood will be hoping their 4-1 thrashing of Skrill Premier Side Aldershot and the prospect of a Wembley final we be on their mind, allowing us to cash in a bring 3 points home to Meadow Park

After Monday night’s game Greg Morgan has now served his 3 game suspension and so Gaffer Ian Allinson will have a full squad at his disposal.
