It’s a top of the table clash at West Leigh Park on Saturday as 2nd take on 1st.

It has been a great start to the season for both sides, although big spending Havant you would expect to be in and around the top three.

On paper Havant are the form team going into this fixture having won five of their last six fixtures. Their last defeat came against Bishops Stortford back in August.

Hawks Manager Lee Bradbury has this week put pressure on his side by saying that promotion is the aim for the club this year. Bradbury would take promotion before a good run in the FA Cup which in the past has seen them take on Liverpool.

Havant boast the meanest defence in the Vanarama South having only conceded eight goals in ten matches, whilst the Wood have the most potent strike force with scoring twenty five times in ten matches.

On their day the Wood are a match for any side in this division. A win for either side would see them top the table at 5.45pm.

Wood Gaffer Ian Allinson has brought in talented Striker David Moli to compete with the league’s top scorer Lee Angol and Austin Lipman for a place up front.

With no injury worries following last Saturday’s victory in the FA Cup the Wood will travel to Havant confident that a performance will result in a positive outcome.

Wood’s following away from home this season has been fantastic. Your Support really makes the difference.
