Following the return of St Albans City to the Conference set up after a three year absence, the Local derby between Boreham Wood and St Albans City has returned.

Joint Managers Graham Goulds and James Gray have done well to steady the ship at Clarence Park after the clubs financial troubles.

This Monday will see St Albans visit Meadow Park in a rich vein of form having picked up seven points from nine going into their weekend fixture with Chelmsford City.

The saints last game on the road was a comprehensive 3-0 victory over basement side Wealdstone.

Like the Wood St Albans have managed to make the 3rd Qualifying round of the FA Cup where they will entertain Brackley FC for a place in the final qualifying round.

Steve Wales is the Clubs leading scorer so far this season with four goals to his name, Left Back Lee Chappell is one behind with three.

The Wood go into the game after a top of the table clash with Havant and Waterlooville. A win for the Wood would see them remain top for the visit of the Saints.

Wood’s last two home games have seen them put five past Eastbourne Borough and four past Chelmsford City.
There has been 18 goals scored in just five league games at Meadow Park this term.

With Goals assured and a local derby taking place, there is no place to be on Monday night other than at Meadow Park. Get behind your TOWN and your Team and cheer the Wood onto three more points.
