This Sunday we look forward to welcoming our good friends from Brentford FC and newly appointed Manager Marinus Dijkhuizen to Meadow Park for a Pre-Season Friendly.
The Bees who had a fantastic first season back in the Championship, narrowly missing out on promotion to the Premier league have spent the first part of their preparations for the new season by holding a training camp in sunny Portugal.
The game on Sunday will be Brentford’s first Pre Season game of the summer in the UK and with a full first team arriving, the Bees faithful can expect to see a first glimpse of their new signings in action such as Josh McEachran who joined from Chelsea.
For the Wood, our trio of new signings in Billy Clifford, Charlie Macdonald and Luke Howell could all be in line to feature.
There is a fantastic relationship which is growing between both clubs, having met in the FA Cup three seasons ago, we then hosted Brentford in Pre-Season for the last two years and we are delighted to be hosting them again.
The sun, we hope will be shining so a perfect excuse to come out and see some Pre-Season action.
