It was a disappointing result for the Wood on Saturday losing 2-1 to Aldershot Town at home, Luke Garrard will be looking to rally up his troops as they make the long journey up to Fylde tomorrow evening.

AFC Fylde were promoted from the National League North last season as champions finishing on 95 points. Howver they haven’t been able to carry that form into the National League this season as they currently sit 22nd in the table having picked up 8 points in their opening 11 games.

AFC Fylde – L-L-L-L-W

AFC Fylde began the month travelling to Dagenham & Redbridge, they went into the break trailing 2-1 and were unable to find a response in the second half as they fell to a 3-1 defeat. They then welcomed Aldershot Town to Mill Farm but after goals from Glover and Frost in the second half they fell to a 2-0 defeat.

On Saturday 16th September they welcomed Eastleigh to Mill Farm and suffered a 2-1 loss after receiving a red card in the first half.

More recently they played Solihull Moors on the 19th and suffered another 2-1 loss away from home.

On Saturday they faced Southend Utd away from home and picked up their first win in five games, goals from O’Kaene and Ustabi ensured an impressive win against an inform Shrimpers side and they will be looking to carry over that performance into tomorrow.

Kyron Gordon joined the Wood on a short-term loan from Sheffield United on the 11th November, his stay was only short at the Wood making 4 appearances.

This season he has joined AFC Fylde and has featured in every game since his arrival playing primarily as a right back.
