Having arrived as one of the clubs big summer signings from Barnet in the close season. Striker Charlie Macdonald will now be loaned to St Albans City for the remainder of this season..

Director of Football Ian Allinson said “it hasn’t quite clicked for Charlie in his time with us. He is a great guy who just wants to play football and now he’s fit, he was not getting the game time with us that he had hoped for.. With that in mind we have decided to subsidise Charlie’s wages, while sending him to St Albans City on a long term loan and hopefully it will help Charlie, to get his season kick started”..

Chairman Danny Hunter commented “We of course wish Charlie well but it has been clear for some time that we needed to freshen things up in the forward area’s.. Charlie simply wasn’t in Luke’s plans and as such we felt it the best solution for all parties to agree to this loan.. We do not have a game this weekend but have a big game at Barrow on Tuesday night to plan for. Charlie was not in those plans and at 34 years old needs to be playing”..

“Our goals for column shows we just needed to freshen up our forward line in this transfer window. As such there will be two or three player departures and three or four players coming in to balance off the squad. We have already secured two of those in the permanent signings of Anthony Jeffrey and Jordan Chedozie and our supporters can now expect an announcement from us regarding two or three new arrivals in the next week or so”.. He concluded.
