Jack Gibbs switched to his natural centre-back position for Northwood against Molesey and played the full 90-minutes in a stunning 6-1 victory.
Gibbs and his teammates returned to winning ways in The Bostik League South Central, with James Ewington scoring his second hat-trick of the season.
Gibbs slotted in at centre-back, in place of Sam Tring, while Sam Jenkins moved to right-back.
The young defender put in a solid defensive shift, although his side were primarily on the front-foot, in the emphatic six-goal win.
Next up for Gibbs and Northwood is Ware at home in the league.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Fred Burbidge made his debut in the Southern League Division One for Dunstable Town, having recently joined them on loan.
The Blues enjoyed a victory over bottom of the table Kidlington, in a match filled with almost as many goals as Gibbs’ Northwood team.
Burbidge made a winning start to his life at Dunstable Town, with 5-1 victory over Kidlington. The young goalkeeper was a solid presence between the sticks, as Arel Amu netted a hat-trick.
Burbidge and his teammates now face a home fixture against Cambridge City.
