Boreham Wood FC is delighted to announce the loan extension of defender Billy Sass-Davies from Crewe Alexandra until the end of the season.

Billy arrived at the Mangata Pay UK Stadium Meadow Park in late August and joined the squad immediately, making his debut against Barnet on September 2nd. He had his full debut against York City in a 2-2 draw on September 9th.

Since then, Billy has been a key player in Luke Garrard’s backline, making a total of 23 league appearances and even contributing offensively by scoring three goals from the centre-back position. All three goals were headers, showcasing the young defender’s impressive aerial presence.

Upon securing Billy’s signature until the end of the season, Wood Manager Luke Garrard said, “I’m really happy to extend Billy’s contract. He has been developing since he joined us and has shown a level of consistency in his performances. At only 23, he demonstrates a level of maturity in his play and has really started to understand what’s required within our team.”

Great to have you with us, Bill!
