Boreham Wood FC’s medical department can provide our supporters with an update on the injury status of influential players Kane Smith, Mark Ricketts, Josh Rees and Connor Stevens, following on from their recent non-selections or premature exits over the past fortnight.

In terms of both Kane Smith and Mark Ricketts, their injuries are ongoing require management, which means that three games in eight days can be a little too much for them and as such Luke and the medical team must be selective over the next three weeks if we are to get them both to the season’s end.

We can though confirm following a scan, that central midfielder Josh Rees has suffered a broken collar bone from his awkward landing following a late challenge down at Aldershot Town, whilst we can also confirm a scan has revealed that central defender Connor Stevens suffered a double wrist fracture from his awkward landing after a headed dual on the stroke of half time against Wealdstone last weekend.

Luke and his management team have also been advised by our medical department and consultants that both of these players are likely to miss the remainder of the season, however our medical team remain in consultation with specialists on measures that could be taken to protect Connor Stevens’ wrist which may allow him to return to the squad before the season’s end.

All other squad members at this point are available, unless suspended, and they will play with the sort of knocks and niggles that are to be expected as normal as this time of the season.
