Boreham Wood are pleased to announce that last Wednesday four of their promising youth prospects travelled to Hayes and Yeading’s new 3G Astroturf facility to trial in the second stage of the English College National Team selection process.

Charlie Hunter, Ruddock Yala, Cameron Baker-Owers and Harvey Scott-Morris all progressed through the first stage and were selected to play for the South East of England College side, looking to progress to the full Southern College team.

A series of games were played against Southern representative sides – The East, South West and South East College team, of which a Southern English College team will be selected from the participating players.

The Southern English College side will then travel to Lilleshall to play against the North, where an all England College National Team will be selected.

All ‘Wood’ players held a good account of themselves – especially as Ruddock Yala, Charlie Hunter and Cameron Baker-Owers played in the extra time 2-1 victory over Hertford Town in the Herts Senior Cup the night before.
