Following England College’s international tournament held in Italy in March, where Boreham Wood’s Ruddock Yala and Charlie Hunter featured against the likes of Italy, Croatia and Romania. The ECFA were back into action on Wednesday when they played a friendly match against Reading FC, in preparation for their end of season international tournament that begins on May 6th.

In a game that finished 2-2, both players started with Ruddock Yala skippering the side and giving an outstanding performance in the centre of defence.

Head Academy coach Luke Garrard said “Our record in recent years of producing seven England Internationals is something we’re very proud of. Again both boys have conducted themselves well and their level of performances are consistently good…”

Garrard continued “They must remain focussed however as we still have a College National Cup to retain when we take on Gower College Swansea, on the 2nd of May at The New Saints in Wales, which is hugely important to the Club!”
