DARREN BARKER HELD UP IN IRELAND

5 April 2014

Darren BarkerBoreham Wood Football Club regrets to announce that former World Middleweght Champion Darren Barker, who was due to present a cheque to Brookside Boys Club at today’s game against Chelmsford City, has been unavoidably held up due to TV work in Ireland and unfortunately will no longer be able to make the game today.

Darren has sent his heartfelt apologies to the club and his fans but has also sent hundreds of signed photographs of himself in action and very generously donated a signed pair of boxing gloves, that will be raffled in aid of the boys club at today’s match.

We still urge everyone to attend today’s game in honour of Brookside’s Dick and Vera Clarke, who after 40 years service will be presented with a cheque of £2,000 prior to todays kick off and deserve a great reception..

WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE…
