This Saturday 20th July, another Community Day at Boreham Wood Football club is being held in conjunction with Arsenal Football Club and Arsenal Soccer Schools. We will be holding a day of fun that includes “FREE” Coaching sessions on our 3G Astro pitch..
Also on the day an Arsenal XI full of young Internationals, will play a pre season friendly against a strong Boreham Wood team at Meadow Park. The community day is organised to entertain the fans and as a bonus every child who takes part in the ‘free’ coaching initiative will also receive a ‘free’ match day ticket for the 3pm Kick Off..
This initiative is another in the clubs year long primary schools programme of inclusion. Boreham Wood Football Club hope that by holding these days, that it will introduce a whole new set of people within the local and wider community to what the club has to offer. It allows families and youngsters the chance to see their progressive local football club at first hand and they can see the first class facilities and a club that is trying to support its local community.
The “FREE” coaching session is being run jointly by Boreham Wood FC’s community department and Arsenal Soccer Schools and is for all 6-13 year olds. People interested should arrive to enrol at midday, The day begins at 11.30 and will run through to around 2pm. It will be a fun filled session with a skills workshop, Reaction games and a tournament.
After the session is over there will be time to relax before the game starts. The Bar will be open from 12 Noon for refreshments and for people to view the new BWFC TV Channel and will be available to supporters parents and children..
The BWFC Community department will also be giving “FREE” Season tickets to all Primary School children in Borehamwood, Shenley, Radlett and Elstree area who request them, giving children entry to all 21 Home Conference South league games..
