It is déjà vu this Wednesday as Wood face another improving side with a superb away record, much like last Saturday’s visitors Eastbourne Borough.    The Magpies have enjoyed a two month unbeaten run on the road that has helped lift them to ninth in the table.    They have also, in comparison to Wood, fared better against some of our recent opponents.    Beating Chelmsford City 2 – 1 last Saturday, trouncing Staines Town 0 – 6 on the road and doing the double over Truro City, including an 8 – 0 battering at home, followed by a 0 – 1 victory in Cornwall, are ten points that we have failed to bag!

We welcome Reece Tison-Lascaris back to Meadow Park, who has enjoyed success in front of goal this Season, including a hat-trick against Truro City.

We will be without Mario Noto, who picked up yet another injury on Saturday, and will be out for around two weeks, by which time our influential Assistant Manager Luke Garrard should be ready to resume his duties on the pitch after a lay-off of over three months.

If the game is as entertaining as Saturday’s excellent 2 – 1 victory against The Sports it will be well worth the entrance fee!

Boreham Wood vs. Maidenhead United – Wednesday 9 January 2013, Kick off: 7.45pm.

Come on the Wood!
