Mid-table Magpies will be looking to steal some points this Saturday on what has turned into a must win game for us.    The visitors are currently seven points behind us occupying eleventh spot in the table.

With points dropped at Billericay Town and Sutton United in the last ten days Wood are now reliant on their superb home form to cement a Play-off spot.

With four home games left and one of those against the Champions elect, Welling United, the situation at the top is hotting up.    We still have to play Havant & Waterlooville twice, who are the in form side in the League at the moment, with ex-Wood forward Ollie Palmer knocking in goals for fun. His hat-trick on Easter Monday yielded another three points leaving them just three points behind us, having played two games more.    However with six points at stake that situation is very fluid.

It does seem that Eastleigh are the most likely to profit from any more points dropped by our boys. They were in stunning form a couple of weeks ago when we “escaped” with a point from probably our toughest game of the Season.

Weston-super-Mare have the impetus, they are fifth at the time of writing and the table does not lie.

With Chelmsford City the other side needing to drop as few points as possible to join Salisbury City and Dover Athletic in the Play-offs it promises to be a nail biting ride.    Let us hope a win this Saturday prolongs the agony right to the wire!

We are due some fortune in front of goal, the chances keep on coming and it is only a matter of time before they start flying in!    This is a must win game so get down to Meadow Park, your local team needs you!

Boreham Wood versus Dorchester Town, Saturday 6 April 2013, Kick off: 3.00pm.
