The intriguing end to a memorable Season gathers momentum as we enter the last ten games.    With us sitting in that must have fifth placed spot for so long, we face the third team in succession who can call the game a six pointer.

Successfully negotiating draws with Dorchester Town and Eastleigh on the road, this rare opportunity to see Wood on home soil comes sandwiched between four away games.

Ninth placed Bromley are just seven points behind us, making this another must win game for both sides.

Both sides have shown good form of late in the League, losing just one of the last seven matches.    It is however Bromley’s free scoring run of late that will concern Wood boss Ian Allinson.    They have posted fourteen goals in their last five outings and arrive at Meadow Park in a rich vein of form.

However Wood can take solace from their four goal haul against Tonbridge Angels in their last game on home soil.    This is the fourth time these two have met, with the visitors holding the upper hand, winning at Meadow Park 0 – 2 to advance in the F.A. Carlsberg Trophy, whilst both games at Hayes Lane ended in 1 – 1 draws.

Another draw would not be the end of the world, yet as Ian Allinson points out, “If we had just closed out three of our thirteen draws into wins we would now be third and leading the pack chasing the last three Play-off spots.”

Wood have been ahead on both occasions in our drawn games with Bromley, succumbing to goals in the last five minutes.

One thing is for sure this will be yet another spectacle so why not come out in force and support your local team.    We might just be on the verge of the unthinkable.    BE A PART OF IT!

Boreham Wood versus Bromley, Saturday 16 March 2013, Kick Off: 3pm.
