Both sides should be fresh for this game after neither could get past the wet weather that plagued the South of the Country at the weekend.

The Hawks have had a patchy Season to date, but are capable of putting a run together, which Wood Boss Ian Allinson is well aware of.  “One of the best sides I have watched this Season, this is a tough game.”

Havant & Waterlooville sit currently eighteenth in the table with twenty-six points and have a leading goal scorer in Ollie Palmer who has hit the net thirteen times so far this Season.    Ollie did feature for us last Season, on Loan from Woking, and we all know what happens when strikers return!

Wood will be looking to make it three home wins on the trot and with two potential Season changing games coming up, a 100 per cent effort will be required to keep in the Play-off places.    After this game we travel to my Pre-Season tip for the title Welling United, who are on fire, before hosting current leaders Salisbury City the following Saturday.

Dropping points against the top two would not be the end of the world, but with our form against the top sides (only Chelmsford City in the top six have beaten us so far), it may well be the Havant & Waterlooville game we need to be at our very best in.

Boreham Wood vs. Havant & Waterlooville.    Monday 14 January 2013, Kick Off 7.45pm.

Come on the Wood!
