Following on from the announcement that Alan Swan has become our new main shirt sponsor with the newly designed ‘Wood Army’ logo for the next two-seasons, the Club can further announce that for the 2021/22 season we will return to our more traditional sky blue away kit, which was last used during the 2018/19 season

Since Wood Chairman Danny Hunter took over the reins at his hometown Club way back in September 1999, there has only really been a handful of seasons where the club have deviated away from our sky blue away kit, but after two seasons in “fizzy yellow” and “glimmer green” during the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons, the Club is going back to its more traditional away colour of sky blue resplendent with the ‘Wood Army’ brand that will feature on both the front of home and away shirts ahead of the new 2021/22 season.

Upon returning to a sky blue away kit Chairman Danny Hunter commented, “Thank goodness we’re going back to our old school colours, as at times I thought I was looking at a traffic light [laughs]. In all seriousness though, Luke and the changing room have loved the new shirt and it’s down to me to make the dressing room and supporters happy and I think this colour change will hopefully do that…”

Both home and away kits are available now to pre-order from our Club Shop and will be available to buy off the website and during our pre-season home friendly fixtures at Meadow Park this July and August.
