The club are delighted to announce that our young Academy prospect, Quba Gordon, has put pen to paper on his first senior contract with the club, after some eye catching performances for the reserves and a mature performance against local rivals St Albans in the Herts Senior Cup.
Quba has developed very nicely over the last three years and has progressed every year. He now looks almost ready to make that step up, so upon signing his contract, he was loaned straight out to Hendon who reside in the Ryman Isthmian Premier Division, to continue his football education.
Gordon becomes our third Academy player this season, to of penned a deal at the club. It shows just how strong our current crop of under 19s are, and how the Academy continues to produce very good young players.
Manager Luke Garrard said “Quba has been improving well and is now starting to look like the player we had hoped for. He was unlucky initially as had a few injuries when he first arrived here, but they are all well behind him now and he’ll do very well at Hendon with Gary McCann, who is a manager that I respect very much.
