Boreham Wood Football Club players and officials gathered at the Holiday Inn Elstree way, to celebrate what had been a very long, hard but ultimately enjoyable 2013/14 season, while bringing to a close its 65th Anniversary Year..

The club were joined at the gala dinner, by its president 106Bill O’Neill, their very loyal sponsors, their new education partners Barnet and Southgate College, as well as the Elstree and Borehamwood Town Major and local Counsellors Brenda Batten and Sandra Parnell.

After a fabulous three course dinner, speeches, congratulations and a host of awards and tributes were then handed out expertly by the clubs Chairman Danny Hunter, ably supported by First Team Manager Ian Allinson.

The Chairman took the guests through a wonderful year of both club and community DSC_0045achievement, that was done with great knowledge, understanding, and with a large dollop of humour thrown in. The awards epitomised the clubs community role within the town and with the club having now built its brand new West stand, having won the Herts Senior Cup, having got to the first round proper of the FA Cup once again and then finished 13th in the Conference South league, everyone on reflection, can judge the 2014/15 season as one of the most successful in the clubs history, as it now enters its 66th year.

THANK YOU ALL ONCE AGAIN FOR YOUR SUPPORT…
