Tomorrow, Luke Garrard’s side return to Enterprise National League action with the visit of Aldershot Town, kicking-off at 19:45.

Last season for the Shots

After finishing two points outside the play-off places in the 2023/24 season, the Shots failed to replicate that success last term with a 16th-place finish. They currently occupy 20th place and are only sitting outside the relegation zone on goal difference.

One to watch 

A key figuire in Aldershot’s historic Isuzu FA Trophy truimph last term, midfielder Josh Barrett netted the third goal in a 3-0 Wembley win over Spennymoor Town and has continued to be a key member of their squad this season. He was also named as the club’s player of the season and put pen to paper on a new two-year contract in the summer. 

The Wood  

It was another memorable afternoon in the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday as the Wood overcame Sky Bet League Two outfit Crawley Town with a convincing 3-0 win.

Two goals from Matt Rush and Zak Brunt asserted our dominance on proceedings before Abdul Abdulmalik put the cherry on top of the cake with a stunning strike on 72 minutes, following Ryan Loft’s dismissal at the end of the first-half.

We will be looking to return to winning ways in the league following our 2-1 defeat at Forest Green Rovers last weekend, ending our 17-game unbeaten run in all competitions.

Last time we met

After each getting a win in our last National League campaign in the 2023/24 season, we also met in the Isuzu FA Trophy last term where the Shots ran out as 2-0 victors at the EBB Stadium.

Josh Barham and Kai Corbett were on the scoresheet as the hosts progressed to the quarter-finals, before going on to win the competition.
