Local young stars take part in National League Trust Regionals!

4 March 2026

Last week, the Boreham Wood Community Trust attended the National League Trust London Regional Tournament at Hemel Hempstead Town, proudly represented by Habs Girls in the girls’ competition and Fairfield Boys in the boys’ event.

Both schools qualified after winning our recent in-house school tournaments, and simply reaching the regional stage was a fantastic achievement, with both teams travelling determined to represent the Club with pride.

Habs Girls were outstanding throughout, showing resilience, great teamwork and quality to reach the semi-finals. After a tightly contested match finished level, they were narrowly beaten on penalties. While the shootout brought disappointment, a place in the last four of the regional competition is a superb accomplishment!

Fairfield Boys also gave a brilliant account of themselves in a competitive group, battling hard in every fixture. Although they exited at the group stage, their attitude, effort and sportsmanship were first-class against strong opposition.

Community Trust Lead Coach, Chaz Brown commented: “We had a fantastic day at the London Regional Tournament, where Fairfield Boys and Habs Girls did everyone at the club, their families, their schools, and the whole community incredibly proud.

A massive well done to both schools, and a big thank you to their teachers and staff for their continued support. We couldn’t do it without you!”

Our Club. Our Town. Our Community.
