Boreham Wood Football Club can confirm that midfielder Aaron Henry has joined fellow Enterprise National League side Wealdstone.
Aaron joined the club in July of last year following his departure from Charlton Athletic. In November, the Wood number 14 joined then National League South side Hornchurch on a loan until being recalled at the end of January.
Shortly after, Aaron produced a moment the Wood faithful won’t forget in a hurry when, after coming off the bench, the set piece specialist scored a wonderful free-kick goal to secure a 3-2 win over Yeovil Town.
Then came the National League Cup Final in March, and with the Wood trailing 2-1 to West Ham United in the final minutes, Aaron Henry produced the all-important equaliser with a low-driven strike from long range, sending Meadow Park into ecstasy before Luke Garrard’s men triumphed on penalties.
Everyone at the club would like to thank Aaron for his contribution at Meadow Park and wish him nothing but success in this next chapter of his career.
