Ted Curd has been part of Chelsea’s academy setup since the age of nine, progressing through the youth ranks at Cobham before signing his first professional contract with the Blues in February 2023. The England youth international gained valuable senior experience with Hashtag United and Hampton & Richmond Borough, while also representing England at Under-17 and Under-19 level, featuring at the 2023 UEFA European Under-17 Championship and FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Curd joined Boreham Wood in November 2025 and quickly established himself as an important member of the first team. He made 24 National League appearances, keeping 11 clean sheets, as well as featuring 10 times in cup competitions. His assured performances, sharp reflexes and composed distribution made him a popular figure at Meadow Park, with his displays during the Wood’s play-off run particularly impressive.
Following his successful previous spell, Curd returns to the Wood on a season-long loan from Chelsea, providing strong competition for the number one shirt and further adding to an exciting young goalkeeping group.
