Boreham Wood Football Club are thrilled to announce the signing of winger Farhaan Ali Wahid, who joins the Wood on loan from Premier League side Fulham until the end of the 2026/27 season. The highly-rated 19-year-old arrives at Meadow Park following an outstanding rise through the Cottagers’ academy, adding pace, flair and exciting attacking quality to Luke Garrard’s squad, in which he will wear the number 20 shirt.
Born and raised in England, Ali Wahid is of Bangladeshi heritage and joined Fulham’s academy at under-12 level. The exciting winger quickly established himself as one of the club’s brightest young prospects, scoring seven goals in 17 appearances for the under-18’s before making an immediate impact at under-21 level by finding the net on his debut. After signing his first professional contract with Fulham in 2025, he enjoyed a breakthrough campaign with the club’s Premier League 2 side, winning the division’s Player of the Month award in November after registering three goal contributions in two matches.
Ali Wahid continued his impressive development throughout the 2025/26 season, contributing six goals and nine assists before being shortlisted for the Premier League 2 Player of the Season award. Internationally, he committed his future to Bangladesh in 2026 and is regarded as one of the country’s most exciting emerging talents. A talented winger who thrives in one-on-one situations and possesses the ability to create and score goals, Farhaan arrives at Meadow Park ready for his first taste of senior football.
