He’s ours: Regan Booty signs permanently at Meadow Park!

14 January 2026

Boreham Wood Football Club are delighted to announce that midfielder Regan Booty has completed a permanent move to the club from Barrow AFC for an undisclosed fee, following a successful loan spell in black and white. The 27-year-old has put pen to paper on a long-term contract that will keep him at Meadow Park until the summer of 2028.

Booty began his career with Huddersfield Town, where he captained the under-23 side before leaving the Terriers following their relegation from the Premier League. He went on to feature for Notts County before a successful spell at Maidstone United. Regan joined Gateshead in 2023, where he impressed in the North East and a scored in the Heed’s FA Trophy triumph at Wembley. His form at the top end of Non-League football also earned him an England C call-up and later, a move Barrow AFC.

Booty arrived in Hertfordshire on loan in November and announced himself incredible fashion with a halfway-line goal against Gateshead on his debut. His impact continued on the big stage, scoring the opening goal in our FA Cup Second Round Proper victory over EFL outfit Newport County, before adding another highlight with a perfectly executed free kick against Solihull Moors in the final outing of 2025.

Upon permanently signing at the Mangata Developments Stadium, Booty said: “Everyone knows how much I’ve enjoyed my loan here, it was a no brainer to get it done on a permanent. I’ve had some positive conversations with the Gaffer and Charlie over the past week or two, I’m buzzing it’s all sorted now!”

Regan’s performances during his loan spell in WD6 left no doubt about his value to the squad, and we are thrilled to now secure his services on a permanent basis. We look forward to seeing Regan continue to shine in a Boreham Wood shirt for the foreseeable future!
