The club are delighted to announce that manager Luke Garrard has been named Enterprise National League Manager of the Month for the second time this campaign, winning the award for December!
September saw the Wood claim five wins from seven, defeating Sutton United, Morecambe, Altrincham, Boston United, and Woking, while also picking up draws against Scunthorpe United and Southend United to round off a strong run.
The Wood Gaffer faced strong competition for the award, with nominations also going to Scunthorpe United’s Andy Butler, FC Halifax Town’s Adam Lakeland, and Aldershot Town’s John Coleman. However, his side kicked off December with an Emirates FA Cup Second Round Proper triumph over League Two Newport County.
Wins in all three of the Wood’s December league outings – against Carlisle United, local rivals Wealdstone, and Solihull Moors – followed and Luke Garrard’s side entered the new year top of the pile. The Gaffer’s month simply couldn’t be overlooked!
This recognition is a testament to the incredible work Luke, his backroom staff, and the squad have put in since promotion and to the positive momentum that continues to build around Meadow Park.
Congratulations to Luke and the management team! Thoroughly deserved.
