Boreham Wood Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Marley Marshall-Miranda, who joins the Wood on a permanent basis from fellow National League side Braintree Town.
Marshall-Miranda began his career in the academy system at Brighton & Hove Albion, featuring regularly for the Seagulls’ under-18 side during the 2018–19 Under-18 Premier League season, before making the move to Colchester United in 2019. During his time with the U’s, he gained senior experience on loan at Worthing in the Isthmian League Premier Division, scoring once in six appearances, and went on to make his professional debut for Colchester in September 2020 in the EFL Cup against Reading.
He later signed a contract extension keeping him at the JobServe Community Stadium until the summer of 2023. After departing Colchester at the end of the 2023–24 season, Marshall-Miranda joined Braintree Town ahead of their National League campaign, where his energy and technical quality in midfield quickly stood out. A composed and hardworking midfielder with a strong grounding in professional environments, Marley adds depth, versatility and ball-winning ability to the Wood’s engine room.
Upon signing for the Wood, Marshall-Miranda said: “I see the great things they’re doing at the club. To come from the league below last season and to be doing so well, to be chasing promotion, every player wants that. I’m buzzing to be here; it’s a great place and I’m ready to go.”
The dynamic 23-year-old arrives at Meadow Park with valuable Football League and National League experience and becomes the latest addition to Luke Garrard’s squad. We are thrilled to welcome him to Boreham Wood and look forward to seeing him pull on the black and white at the Mangata Developments Stadium, Meadow Park.
