Boreham Wood Football Club are delighted to announce that midfielder and fan favourite Zak Brunt has signed permanently from Barnet for a club record fee! Brunty’s contract with the Wood will run until the end of the 2027/28 season with the option to extend by a further year.
The 23-year-old playmaker is no stranger to Meadow Park, having previously spent both the 2022/23 and current campaign since the end of August on loan with the Wood, impressing with his technical ability, creativity, and composure in midfield. His return to the club this season has already provided a major boost to Luke Garrard’s side, and now he’s here to stay!
Upon permanently signing at the Mangata Developments Stadium, Brunt said: “I’m absolutely buzzing! It’s been in the pipeline for a while. I feel loved here. The relationship I have with the Gaffer, the Chairman and everyone behind the scenes is huge. I really enjoy playing in this team, it’s a special group. The sky’s the limit for us.”
A dynamic and gifted midfielder, our number eight has already racked up nine goals and assists since his return to WD6 this season and we are delighted to have him with us for the near future!
