MATCH PREVIEW – TONBRIDGE ANGELS

MATCH PREVIEW – Tonbridge Angels V’s Boreham Wood
Saturday 4th February 2012 – Kick off 3.00pm
Blue Square Bet South

Boreham Wood travel to Kent this Saturday to take on Tonbridge Angels in the Blue Square Bet South Division, kick off 3.00pm.

‘Wood’ go to Kent off the back of a gutsy performance against league leaders Woking last Saturday, which saw them narrowly lose 2 – 1 after an 85th minute winner from Moses Ademola. So ‘Wood’ will be looking to show similar character and determination to return to Meadow Park with a positive result come Saturday evening.

Tonbridge currently sit one place and two points above Boreham Wood in 12th position, however ‘Wood’ have a game in hand, against Salisbury City, which will be played this coming Monday at Meadow Park, kick off 7.45pm.

So far this season the Angels have totalled 34 points having won 9, drew 7 and lost 10 of their 26 league games, scoring 45 and conceding 47 in the process. With a huge contribution from Striker Frannie Collin who has scored 19 goals so far this season, and has also been subject to transfer rumours

The Angels will come into Saturday’s game full of confidence having beaten Eastbourne Borough 5 – 1 a fortnight ago in their last league fixture, so a tough, open game will be in store when ‘Wood’ travel to Longmead Stadium. With a huge contribution coming from Striker Frannie Collin who scored 4 goals that day and has so far tallied 19 goals in total this season, and has also been subject to transfer rumours with an unnamed nPower League One side, so ‘Wood’s’ defence will have to be one best form to keep him at bay. So travel along and get behind the boys!

Come on ‘The Wood!’
