After two draws on the spin against Barrow and Aldershot the Wood will be looking to get back to winning ways on Saturday when Torquay United are the visitors to Meadow Park.

Kevin Nicholson has worked wonders at Torquay United since his appointment with the club rooted at the bottom of the table. Last season at one point they were all but relegated, but with a remarkable run including a win at Meadow Park they lifted themselves to safety.  In the Summer Nicholson has recruited well and that has shown in their excellent start to the season.

With the exception of David Stephens Wood Gaffer Luke Garrard is nearing a fully fit squad to choose from.

There has been no secret of Torquay’s financial trouble off the field, but on the field they are a match for any team on their day and Wood will have to be at their best to get anything from the game despite the fact they have only won once on the road this season. Torquay come to Meadow Park on the back of a 3-1 defeat at Woking in midweek and they themselves will be looking for a reaction.

Despite only one win at home for Luke Garrards men, their performances at Meadow Park have warranted more with a much more fluent attacking style of play. For those that haven’t seen the side play come down to Meadow Park and see what is on offer.

Nathan Blissett and Dan Sparks will be players the Wood will have to keep an eye on.
