BOREHAM WOOD FOOTBALL CLUBS ACADEMY ARE DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE ANOTHER FANTASTIC WEEK IN THE HISTORY OF THE CLUBS EVER PROGRESSING YOUTH SCHEME.

Woods U/18’s, as good as clinched our eighth successive Southern floodlit youth league title, this week with a resounding 6-0 victory over a more than useful Grays Athletic. Our lads put in a fantastic performance, where clinical in front of goal saw them comfortable victors and we are now on course for what could possibly be a fourth league and cup treble in the last five years.

On top of that the club can also proudly announce that three of our improving U/18 players namely Maxwell Holland, Jamie Lumsden and Harry Singh, have all been chosen for the forthcoming England College tour of Italy… Which amazingly takes our Schoolboy and College International success to 14 boys in just six years, which is a huge honour for the club and Academy.

On top of that our elite U/19 squad, emphatically then won 10-0 on Wednesday against a previously strong SEEVIC and as such we are now very close to clinching a big National quarter final place in the English College play-offs.

Academy Director Luke Garrard said “This has been a difficult year for the Academy in terms of consistency and injuries. Just like our first team, the Academy players, coaches and managers have together learnt a lot about each other and we seem to be hitting form at just the right time. With the fantastic team spirit throughout the club now clearly evident, it could yet end with some silverware, some England caps and some fantastic memories, which would be great for the lads and the staff…”

AS A CLUB WE PLAY OUR FIRST TEAM FOOTBALL IN THE CONFERENCE SOUTH DIVISION OF THE ENGLISH FOOTBALL PYRAMID. WE ALSO RUN 15 TEAMS OF ALL LEVELS OF ABILITIES AND AS SUCH WE PLAY OUR FOOTBALL ON VARIOUS DAYS OF THE WEEK DEPENDANT ON YOUR ABILITY. THIS COULD INCLUDE PLAYING IN WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON LEAGUE’S, MIDWEEK EVENING LEAGUE’S, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY LEAGUE’S.

WE HAVE OVER THE YEARS ADOPTED AN INCLUSIVE POLICY FOR EVERYONE, WHILE ENSURING WE HAVE THE INVESTMENT AND EXPERIENCE TO DELIVER. WE KNOW WE CAN GUARANTEE A LEAGUE AND A LEVEL OF FOOTBALL TO SUIT ALL STUDENTS BUT ONLY IF THEY HAVE THE RIGHT ATTITUDE, DISCIPLINE AND DESIRE TO WANT TO IMPROVE.

WE WILL ALONG WITH OUR EDUCATION PROVIDER BARNET AND SOUTHGATE COLLEGE, RUN A TRUE SPORTS/EDUCATION TIMETABLE, THAT WILL BE TAILOR MADE FOR OUR STUDENTS ACADEMIC PROGRAMME AND THEIR FOOTBALL NEEDS.. THAT WILL INCLUDE; A LEVELS, B-TEC’S, CONSTRUCTION, CYQ’S AND VARIOUS OTHER COURSES.

IN SIMPLE TERMS WE ARE NOT A COLLEGE SCHEME ATTACHING OURSELVES TO A PRO CLUBS BADGE OR ARE WE PART OF A PRO CLUBS COMMUNITY SCHEME.

WE ARE BOREHAM WOOD FOOTBALL CLUB AND OUR AIMS ARE SIMPLE.. WE WISH TO IMPROVE YOU ALL AS PLAYERS, WE WANT TO GET YOU PLAYING FOOTBALL AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL POSSIBLE AND WE WANT YOU TO REMAIN IN FOOTBALL LONG AFTER YOU HAVE FINISHED YOUR SPORTS/EDUCATION PROGRAMME WITH US.

WE HAVE AS A SMALL FOOTBALL ACADEMY GROWN BEYOND BELIEF AND WE NOW HAVE A REPUTATION AND TRACK RECORD OF PROVEN SUCCESS OVER THE LAST 10 YEARS. HOWEVER OUR SUCCESS GOES WAY BEYOND BRINGING HOME TROPHIES.

WE CAN DEMONSTRATE THAT WE GET OUR PLAYERS INTO PRO CLUBS; WE CAN DEMONSTRATE THAT WE GET OUR SCHOLARS TO THE USA; WE CAN DEMONSTRATE THAT WE GET OUR STUDENTS INTO THE WORKPLACE AND WE CAN DEMONSTRATE THAT WE GET OUR STUDENTS TO UNIVERSITY.
