Boreham Wood FC are delighted to announce that our medical department, led by Senior Therapist Gabriel Segall and Academy Therapist Ellen Fender, won the Outstanding Placement Provider Award at our placement partner St. Mary University Twickenham’s award’s ceremony last week.
Over the past year, the Club’s medical department have welcomed ten budding medical professionals from St. Mary’s University Twickenham as part of a newly formed work placement and internship programme between the Club and the University. The programme has been mutually beneficial to both parties, with the Club benefitting from the assistance of the individuals on placement within our medical provision Club-wide; implementing COVID protocols, on matchdays and across the Academy, whilst the individuals have benefitted from real-life hands-on experience in their chosen field.
The award further recognises the fantastic staff and working environment at Boreham Wood FC, and we look forward to continuing to work closely with St. Mary’s University Twickenham for many years to come…
