BOREHAM WOOD U18S 7 – 1 LEIGHTON TOWN

Southern counties Floodlit Youth League

Boreham Wood Under 18s won their 7th League Tiltle in 7 consecutive seasons, scoring an impressive 7 goals in their final league game against Leighton Town.

Wood sealed the Championship with a 17minute hat trick from exciting wideman Salim Sahnoun, all being assisted from Raheem Sterling Parker, with the fourth coming from Marcio Cruz after an effort from Sahnoun rocketing off the bar for Cruz to tap home from close range.

The fifth was a great team goal after great initial work from Taku Mashingaidze, to work a yard to deliver into the box for Hastings to drill home into the vistors net.  However, the goal of the night came from another well worked set piece where Cruz doubled his tally for the evening after taking a great touch to allow him to bend his effort into the far top corner.

Wood than conceded midway through the half through a spectacular finish, but soon replied after a succession of 73 passes before Raheem Sterling Parker was hacked down in the box, for him to dust himself down and fire home from the penalty spot.
