Boreham Wood Football Club are delighted to announce the loan signing of versatile defender Jack Connors from Dagenham and Redbridge until the end of the season.

Connors who started off with Fulham, joined Dagenham in 2011 initially on a two year scholarship. During that time he had a spell on loan at Ryman premier division side Hendon.

On completion of his Scholarship, Connors put pen to paper on a one year professional contract. His professional debut for the Daggers came in a 4–1 victory over Colchester United in September 2013.
After impressive performances for the Dagger’s, Connors signed a new three-year contract with the club in October 2013. In his first season with the club he also picked up the Young Player of the year award.

Jack Connors has also represented his country the Republic of Ireland U21’s on thirteen occasions.

On the defenders signature Gaffer Luke Garrard said “ Jack’s signing was an important one for us in terms of quality and squad depth. As is the return of Callum Reynolds from injury in the next 10 days. Jack is versatile and can play in two or three positions and he knows Scott Doe and Luke Howell well from their time together at Dagenham”

“We are going to need to keep our squad strong in the next eight weeks, especially in light of the facial injury Sam Cox received up at Southport, as that makes him unavailable for the next two games and the fact he’s now decided to play for Guyana meaning we don’t have him for either the Wrexham or Macclesfield games.. He concluded.
