kudusBoreham Wood FC are absolutely delighted to announce the long term loan of highly rated striker, Kudus Oyenuga from SPL side Dundee United. Kudus joins until the end of the season and has been a target for the club for over two years and its testament to the Chairmans persistence that we have pulled it off on transfer deadline day.

Oyenuga started his career in the Tottenham Hotspur Academy in 2008. In 2011, he agreed a two year deal with Spurs before being loaned out to Finnish side MyPa. On his return from Finland Kudos had another loan spell, this time with League one Bury where he made one appearance before spending the remaining 4 months of the season on loan to SPL side St Johnstone. Oyenuga made his league debut for St Johnstone in the 2-0 loss to Celtic.

On his return to Tottenham in the summer of 2012 he was released and signed a one year deal with our Conference South league rivals Hayes and Yeading United. Oyenuga made 40 appearances for the Missioners finding the net 18 times.

Following his fine first season with Hayes,he trialled with SPL side Dundee United and after impressing Manager Jackie McNamara, signed a three year contract.

On sealing the deal for the highly sort after striker Wood Gaffer Ian Allinson said ” I’m thrilled to finally get Kudus I showed him round the club in the summer and thought I had him back then”.

The fact Kudus wasn’t getting game time he wanted at Dundee Utd, meant with our Chairmans approval, we could have another go at trying to get him. When he fancied the move, all parties moved quickly to make it happen and I can’t wait to see him in a Wood shirt”.

My assistant manager Luke Garrard hasn’t been of the phone to Kudos ensuring the deal stayed hot and Billy Hunter has been instrumental in getting the paperwork sorted and so we just await international clearance”. Allinson concluded.
