Enfield 1893 0-2 Boreham Wood
Wood made it an impressive six wins out of six, with a great away win against local rivals Enfield 1893.
With a brace from first year Steve O’Connor sealed the valuable three points, his first came early in the game after his strike partner Harvey Scott worked an opening down the left to cross the ball for Steve to direct his effort into the bottom right hand corner.
Woods second came early after the break, Harvey again setting up his partner after playing a cute pass into to Steves feet for the inform striker to cleverly back heel his effort between the opposition goalies legs.
Wood now face Bury Town away on Thursday hoping to keep their 100% record intact.
Manager Luke Garrard was happy with the result “ The boys were very professional in their performance tonight, we didn’t play to our maximum but we did not look like conceding. Steve O’Connor was awesome tonight he ran channels, pressed centre halfves and didn’t look like tiring, he took both his goals ever so well and was unfortunate to get himself a hat trick after hitting the bar. We now face Bury Town on Thursday, and will look to keep this impressive run going”
