Members of the Wood Army and our Chairman have now begun packing, as they get ready to travel from their base camp in Moscow, onto England’s next game, which is being played in Samara.

There’s no doubt they’re all enjoying everything that Russia and the Russian people have to offer. While, enjoying one of the best World Cups ever, as England progress themselves to the Quarter Final stage against a confident Sweden.

The Chairman has said from Russia, that it appears most of our local pubs seem to be catering for a more adult clientele – this doesn’t seem to leave much choice for the many families and many mums in the town, who want to share the excitement of this brilliant World Cup, and of course, England’s march all the way to the final, with their young families. 

So with that in mind, we are looking to attract our season ticket holders, plus a mainly family crowd for the biggest game in England’s recent history, certainly since Italia 90…

As such, we are doing our community bit for the families of the town, by offering FREE sausage and chips and FREE lemonade and Coca Cola for all children aged 12 and under on Saturday, as long as they are accompanied by an adult…

We’ll also offer to the best dressed and painted ‘England’ youngster, who will get a FREE Boreham Wood season ticket for the upcoming 2018/19 Campaign (This fan will be chosen at half time).

SO COME ON MUMS AND FAMILIES OUT THERE – GET YOUR SINGING VOICES READY, GET THE KID’S FACES PAINTED, LET THE OLD MAN POODLE OFF TO THE PUB… GET THE KIDS BEDECKED IN THEIR BEST ENGLAND COLOURS AND ENJOY THE GAME AND THE ENGLAND WIN WITH US ON SATURDAY…
