Boreham Wood are delighted to show our intent to remain in the Blue Square Conference South promotion shake up by announcing the twin signings of Michael Thalassitis from Stevenage Borough on a long term loan until the end of the season and the signing of Loick Pires on an initial one month loan from Woking FC.

Manager Ian Allinson said “I would like to thank both of the clubs involved for allowing this to happen, as both players will add great quality to our already talented squad. We know everybody outside the club has expected us to fall away in the league in recent weeks but we don’t share their view and this I hope will strengthen usagain as we enter a busy period of league games. My Chairman has once again backed me with the budget, has told me to get on with it and he believes like I do, that we have potentially a very exciting end to an already successful campaign. As he has said were in the shake up now, let’s just enjoy it and who knows where that can lead”.

Allinson continued “Thala is no stranger to me, as I had him here last season and know how to get the best out of him. He is a young powerful forward who scored goals for us, can run the channels and can add something to us. As for Loick he is a really talented lad who can play in two or three positions, he has always really impressed me when playing against us. So to have him playing for us and causing opposition managers the headaches that he used to cause me is a very nice thought” He concluded.
