Boreham Wood are delighted to announce the arrival of Lee Ndlovu to the LV BET Stadium Meadow Park, following a successful spell with last season’s National League North runner’s up Brackley Town.

A prolific striker at Non-League level, Ndlovu impressed during an extended stint with the Saints and will be looking forward to making the step up to Non-League football’s top table.

After beginning his career at Holbeach United and later spending time at Ilkeston Town, it was at Brackley where the 27-year-old made a name for himself. Having arrived at St James Park ahead of the 2015/16 season, the striker helped the Saints avoid relegation from the National League North on goal difference before a vastly improved second season saw them finish seventh, just a point outside the play-off places.

Despite narrowly missing out on the play-offs the previous season, Lee and his teammates did get over the line in the following year to begin a remarkable streak of four consecutive seasons in the National League North play-offs, but were unsuccessful in each of their subsequent post-season campaigns.

Ndlovu impressed at National League North level and established himself as one of the top strikers outside English football’s top five division. However, with the Saints’ failing to reach the National League after multiple attempts at both automatic promotion and via the play-offs, he was bound to be hot property and departs the Northamptonshire side with nearly 300 appearances to his name.

With 15 goals in all competitions last season, Lee is a strong focal point up front who likes to hold the ball up and can add his name to the scoresheet in any situation, making him an exciting addition to the Wood frontline ahead of the 2022/23 National League season.

Welcome to the LV BET Stadium Meadow Park, Lee!
