This Saturday’s National League game against second place Chesterfield will be the first chance our Wood supporters have had to welcome back Gaffer Luke Garrard and his FA Cup heroes to the LV BET Stadium Meadow Park since our historic FA Cup run ended at Everton’s Goodison Park last Thursday.

Wood’s attention, after defeat at Wrexham on Tuesday, must now focus on the league, as we entertain a very talented Chesterfield team, who had until recently topped the table for most of the season…

In truth, we will need the Wood Army to come out in their numbers to show support for Luke and his team, and demonstrate vocally the respect the team has gained from all within our community with a larger support base as the boys continue their chase for a play-off berth come the season’s end.

Saturday’s game is shown live on BT Sport and with it being a 5:20pm kick off, the easy option is to watch it from your front room. This though is a real chance to show our Manager Luke Garrard and his men, that the Wood Army wants to be the 12th man in the remaining 16 games of the season with 7 of those games critically being at home.

We feel 25 points will clinch us a play-off place, but 30 points would be even better if we want to finish in the top 3.

You can help that by attending the game on Saturday between two of the league’s top sides. As a Wood Army loyalty bonus, our Chairman has arranged a 50% discount for all registered home supporters – discount codes have already been sent out by email and we need you to get down to the game and to bring your singing voices with you.

Please check your email NOW to find out if you are eligible. Please note that your discount codes cannot be used at the ticket office on match day, so please, please buy your tickets in advance and get half price National League football.

Bring your Grannie, Grandad, Mum, Dad, Brother, Sister, Son, Daughter, Auntie, Uncle or even your school buddies and your friends… But most of all, for 90 minutes let’s really hear you roar. As we know, you can create an amazing atmosphere as we’ve experienced it against St Albans City and AFC Wimbledon here at Meadow Park, as well as at AFC Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium and up at Everton’s Goodison Park. Let’s do it again this Saturday!

OUR CLUB. OUR TOWN. OUR COMMUNITY.
