Boreham Wood FC is offering a Sports Science Placement for the 2024/2025 season, providing university students with a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in a professional sporting environment. The placement involves contributing to the Sports Science support for both First Team and Academy players, based at the Club’s Meadow Park ground.
Responsibilities include assisting in gym and field-based sessions, conducting day-to-day GPS analysis, supporting player monitoring strategies, and aiding in the physical preparations for training and match days. Additionally, you will assist with nutrition and hydration strategies, squad screening and testing, player performance and rehabilitation programmes, and the design and implementation of conditioning sessions for Academy players. You will also contribute to the Academy Sports Science curriculum.
