Following a meeting yesterday between the Football Club, our Club Safety Officers, the local Police and the Safety Advisory Group, we can report that a ground capacity of 3,900 has been set and agreed for our historic Saturday 8th January against AFC Wimbledon in the Emirates FA Cup 3rd Round Proper.
The match tickets are unsurprisingly going really, really well and we are now deep into phase 2 of our pre-sale which includes season ticket holders, members, known home ticket purchasers, schools and community sales, which has already taken us past the 2,300 tickets sold mark.
To further ensure that all our home FA Cup match tickets find the right homes, we have decided while match tickets last, to earmark a certain amount for general sale, as well as for other community initiative tickets for local schools, supporter groups, youth football clubs and to some loyal companies who have supported us over the years.
These local ticket initiatives will be announced shortly but will certainly involve ticket sales from our Club Shop within our Stadium for both upcoming home festive fixtures against Wealdstone and Barnet, simply to ensure that attending supporters have an opportunity to get their tickets.
Additionally, we will almost certainly reserve allocations for Yavneh College, Hertswood School, Borehamwood Youth, Excel Sports, Pro FA Borehamwood, and Borehamwood 2000, whilst also creating a pop-up desk in TESCO’s for a day or two in early January…
As such, we urge everyone who purchased tickets a bit late for the St Albans City game to get their tickets much earlier this time, as it’s clear that available match tickets for our historic AFC Wimbledon game are going much quicker than we had anticipated. In truth we now expect to sell out our home allocation after the general sales, community allocations and company/competition obligations have taken place and that could be as early as next weekend.
