Boreham Wood can announce that Blair Turgott will join Maidstone United on a short-term loan.

The 23-year-old initially joined the Wood on-loan from Stevenage in September 2017, before making the switch permanent the following December.

The former England youth international famously scored the equalising goal in the Wood’s historic 2-1 FA Cup win over League One Blackpool.

Turgott began his career as a youth player in the famed West Ham academy and would go on to make his debut in January 2014, against Nottingham Forest.

The 23-year-old has represented England up to Under 19 level and was a permanent feature of the Under 17s squad, with 14 appearances.

Despite his impressive performances since joining, the exciting attacker has been kept out of the starting eleven in recent weeks due to the form of Angelo Balanta.

Turgott will now spend a short period on-loan with Maidstone in order to gain match fitness and will be back at Meadow Park, to play his part, should the Wood make the playoffs.

Everyone at Boreham Wood Football Club, would like to wish Blair all the best during his time at Maidstone.
