photo1The FA Cup made a whistle stop tour of Borehamwood on Thursday, giving the residents of the Town the opportunity to get their photo taken with the world’s most famous Cup.

The tour began at Morrisons Supermarket on Sterling corner where the staff and customers were waiting with eagerness for the unveiling of the FA Cup. It arrived with Commercial Manager Mandee Morris, Woods very own Mario Noto and Vice Chairman Billy Hunter. All were on hand to pose for photos with the staff and customers.

It then made the short journey to visit Boreham Wood FC’S principal shirt sponsor Barnet and Southgate College at their Wood Street Campus, giving their staff and students the opportunity to view the trophy and also have their picture taken with Boreham Wood player Mario Noto.20131106_153349

The tour continued making its next stop at one of Boreham Wood FC Sponsors, The Holiday Inn hotel for an exciting hour with staff and guests, before embarking for the eagerly awaited appearance at Boreham Woods Meadow Park Stadium. The Trophy was greeted by fans both young and old from all over the local community to view the Trophy and show their support to their Towns Football Club.

After a long day on the road it was 5 star all the way, The Trophy then made its final trip to into London to unwind at the Crown Plaza London St James’ and enjoy fine dining in top Thai restaurant The Mango Tree, before returning to its home at Wembley Stadium.

Boreham Wood Player Mario Noto commented, “It was a fantastic day from start to finish. The reception we received at every stop was unbelievable and its great to bring such excitement to our local community. Today has shown that weather you are 3 or 73, The FA Cup can bring the magic that dreams are made of”.
