130With FA Cup dreams and the Strictly come dancing show being the order of the day tomorrow. The ‘Strictly’ team of dancers and contestants all got behind Boreham Wood Football Clubs own dream, of causing an FA Cup shock of its own against Carlisle.

With the show being made not 600 yards from the clubs doors, BWFC’s manager and players were invited onto the set for a visit..

With the English Football Association, arranging for the FA Cup to again be unveiled.137 ‘WOOD’s’ manager Ian Allinson and three players Luke Garrard, Sam Cox and Austin Lipman (on loan from Arsenal) arrived at the Strictly’ set at Elstree Studios for a well received photo opportunity.

As always the FA Cup which accompanied the players, was the star of the show but the players had their moment and photo opportunity with the stars of the show and could see how the show is put together behind the scenes.

Wood manager Ian Allinson said “this cup run has been great for me, the players, the club and we just don’t want it too end. It was surreal today to be on the set of Strictly and my Mrs is going to be so jealous. We honestly do believe though if we can get our town behind us, we can cause an upset tomorrow. If we do pull it off I promise you i’ll be dancing all over our pitch and i’ll be back here on set I hope to do a Tango with Abbey Clancy, though I’m not sure if Abbey would be to happy to hear that” as he laughingly concluded.
