In light of Tuesday’s news that DCMS have paused the return of spectators into Stadiums at elite level, the Club has worked diligently in response to this news to provide an update for Wood season ticket holders and try to offer a fair solution for all.

The Club are of course understanding, though still somewhat disheartened by the Government and DCMS’s decision to delay the return of supporters. However, given the spike in COVID-19 cases both nationally and locally, we totally understand the decision and have remained steadfast in our belief that safety for everyone must always be put first.

Our Club Chairman feels he has been put in a difficult position, but as we now know that there will be a prolonged delay in supporters being allowed into our Stadium, that he must offer every one of our very loyal season ticket holders two options: –

OPTION 1 – RETAIN YOUR SEASON TICKET

If you choose this option, then the compromise will be that you will still be able to watch all Wood home games via a live streaming service. This streaming service is still being refined, but it is planned to include a pre-match, half-time and post-match show, including team news, highlights, Wood discussion, opposition discussion, and multiple interviews with players and management. This service will also include a match day e-programme, with both Manager Luke Garrard and Chairman Danny Hunter’s programme notes plus guest writers, Club news and player profiles etc.

As soon as we are permitted and confident that we can accommodate our supporters safely within our Meadow Park Stadium, your season ticket will, of course, be activated in order for you to attend the Stadium once again to come and support the Wood live, whilst still retaining your option to follow us from home free, using our streaming service.

This streaming service would only be available to PAID season ticket holders, as such this service will unfortunately not be made available to those who receive a complimentary season ticket via our ‘tweet for a treat’ campaign. T&C’s apply.

OPTION 2 – REFUND

In light of the news this week from the National League, we are now offering all paid season ticket holders the chance to receive a refund for their season ticket. Though we do regret to inform supporters who purchased a season ticket online that the transaction fee, received by ticketing company Event Genius, is non-refundable, but to counteract that we are looking at offering you all one match day streaming package free.

If you would like to receive a refund for your purchased season ticket, please contact the Club on 020 8953 5097 or email our Club Shop Manager Grant Morris via grant.bwfc@outlook.com.

Please note: The Club have out of necessity to budget correctly, set a season ticket refund cut-off date of Friday 2nd October for all our paying season ticket holders to inform the Club that they wish to receive a refund.

Once this date has past, we will assume all remaining holders have retained their season ticket status to help the club in these difficult times and receive access to our live streaming service and match day e-programme.

As always, everyone at Boreham Wood FC wish to thank our ever-loyal Wood Army for your kind messages, calls, texts, emails and letters of support!

OUR CLUB. OUR TOWN. OUR COMMUNITY.
