Boreham Wood are pleased to announce that two of their youth players, Charlie Hunter and Ruddock Yala, have been selected for the third and last trial of the England College National team selection process.

Ruddock and Charlie have been selected to be part of the 18 man Southern English College squad that will travel to Lilleshall for a weekend from 9th-11th December. At Lilleshall both boys will be involved in various training sessions, as well as a South V’s North game where a full English College National team will be selected.

Head PASE coach Luke Garrard said “Again its reward for both player’s dedication and hard work in the first half of the season. As a Football Club we will prepare them properly and we hope they go to Lilleshall and give a good account of themselves. It’s an exciting time at the Club for the PASE scheme at present, with boys playing for Hertfordshire, Middlesex and in some cases joining Professional Clubs”.

Garrard concluded “The strides we’ve made in my time at the club have been truly amazing and I still believe that best is yet to come, with some boys still to attend the forthcoming England Schoolboy trials”.
