Boreham Wood Football Club are excited to the announce the addition of another high-profile pre-season friendly, against a strong Crystal Palace XI.

We are hopeful that the side will be led by former England, Liverpool and Inter Milan boss Roy Hodgson and his assistant Ray Lewington on the night, and we’re sure they will bring a strong squad to Meadow Park, on Tuesday, July 31 (7.30pm).

Hodgson led The Eagles away from relegation, to a very respectable 11th placed finish in the Premier League last season, having taken over in September 2017.

Chairman Danny Hunter has once again used his contacts in football to arrange yet another home pre-season programme and some incredible tests for Luke Garrard and his squad.

With the likes of Yohan Cabaye, Andros Townsend, Wilfred Zaha, Christian Benteke and Mamadou Sakha all potentially available for Palace, it looks set to be another unmissable pre-season friendly.

As a reminder, the Wood also have home pre-season fixtures with Brentford, Arsenal and AFC Wimbledon in July.

Along with Brentford and Wimbledon, tickets for this fixture will be available to purchase on the day – prices will be confirmed at a later date.

Tickets for the friendly against Unai Emery’s Arsenal XI, are available to purchase HERE.
