The Road To Wembley began in earnest, at Meadow Park for two local schools. As Boreham Wood Football Clubs Community Department, held a game between two local schools, in a competition which gave both schools the chance to play in a regional tournament the chance to progress all the way to Wembley Stadium.

Hertsmere Jewish Primary School (HJP) beat Kenilworth Primary School 3-1 on the day, in a evenly contested game between two good sides. As such it will be HJP who will now represent the club in the regional tournament and can now continue the dream of playing on the hallowed Wembley turf.

Boreham Woods newly appointed Community Manager Ken Headington spoke after the game “To give local borehamwood children the chance to play at Wembley is fantastic and is every boys dream. We will continue to work with all our local schools and our community to push incentives like this their way whenever possible and we wish HJP the very best of luck at the next stage of this exciting competition..
